Transparent Productions is five people who share the music they love with their community. That music includes a wide range of experimental and highly improvised musics, including some kinds of jazz. Our success has been based on a simple formula:

1) We're volunteers. We only do the shows we want to do.

2) We typically charge $15 per person, collected the day of the performance. All of this money goes directly to the artists - neither Transparent nor the venues keep any of it.

3) We do not guarantee artist fees, only 100% of the door. Similarly, we do not offer hotel rooms, meals, transportation, equipment rentals, or other amenities. Ours is a bare bones gig.

4) We have supporters in the region who are often able to house artists while they are here to perform. This option is contingent upon its availability.

5) Each Transparent Production concert is produced by an individual member of Transparent who is solely responsible for the logistics and promotion involved with that event.

6) The quality of promotion depends upon the quality of the materials we are provided with and when they are provided.
